HCM FESTIVAL SCHOLARS: July 26 - August 3

Festival Scholars Applications Due April 14th

Daily Schedule: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, and evening concerts

Location: Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS
Tuition: Free

 

Audition/Application Due: April 14, 2024 by 11:59 p.m.

Individual Application Fee: $50

Pre-formed quartet Application Fee: $50 per individual

 

Audition/Application Requirements:

  1. Complete the online application.

  2. Submit a letter of recommendation (PDF or Word document accepted). Send Letters to office@heartlandchambermusic.org

  3. Submit recordings with TWO contrasting selections, for a total length of 15-20 minutes, to best showcase the range of your abilities and musicianship (Youtube, Vimeo, Dropbox, or Google Drive links only)

  4. Recording web links can be submitted in your online application or e-mailed to office@heartlandchambermusic.org.

Festival Scholars is a full scholarship opportunity for 8 highly-gifted musicians to receive intense chamber music coaching with the festival artistic director, Jackie Lee, as well as the Miami String Quartet.

 

Scholars also perform live on Kansas Public Radio and are featured in their own performance on August 2nd in Yardley Hall.

Heartland Chamber Music Festival is a partnership with Midwest Trust Center at JCCC.
