Heartland Chamber Music's Adult Workshop provides an exciting opportunity for adult amateur musicians to explore great works of chamber music. This four-day workshop is open to string, wind, and keyboard players ages 21 and over, and will feature faculty from the Heartland Chamber Music Festival, including musicians from the Kansas City Symphony. The faculty musicians will coach and play alongside participants creating a unique and encouraging music-making environment. The workshop will also include social activities and will conclude with an informal performance by participant groups.

Repertoire and Personnel:

Repertoire assignments will be based on level, experience, and available instrumentation. Please provide as much information as you can on the application, including repertoire requests. We will do our best to accommodate requests.

Assignments will be emailed to participants 4 weeks prior to the workshop.

Location

Coaching sessions and performance will be held at Asbury United Methodist in Prairie Village, Kansas. Throughout the weekend, participants can enjoy sights such as the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and the Country Club Plaza.
