The Heartland Chamber Music Festival is an exciting 9 days of chamber music, orchestra, master classes, and student, faculty, and guest performances! Each summer, string players and pianists ages 12-30 are selected by audition to work one-on-one with internationally renown faculty members who have gathered for the festival with the purpose of inspiring and nurturing the students' development.
The first place winner will receive full tuition and a solo concerto performance with the Festival Orchestra. There are prizes for second and third place as well. Click here to learn more.
Sixteen students will be selected to perform with the Camerata Chamber Orchestra and perform live on KPR during the Festival!
All performances take place in Yardley Hall or Polsky Theatre at the Carlsen Center at JCCC.
Heartland Chamber Music Festival is a partnership with JCCC Carlsen Center Arts Education.
Festival Dates: July 24 - August 1, 2020
Festival Daily Schedule: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm and evening concerts
Festival Location: Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS

Festival Early Registration due by April 15, 2020 (Fee: $155)
Festival Late Registration Fee: April 16th-May 1st, 2020 ($175)
All Registration Fees due by May 1st
The application fee includes administrative fee, facility fee, Festival T-shirt, Parker Quartet performance ticket, and Family Night admission.
If you are not accepted to participate in either the Festival or Junior Festival, you will be refunded $125. If for any reason we are unable to hold the festival due to COVID-19 the entire registration fee will be refunded.
