The 2020 Heartland Chamber Music Festival has moved ONLINE to maintain social distancing keeping our students and faculty safe. 


The Heartland Chamber Music Virtual Festival is going to be an exciting 5 days of music workshops, master classes, and alumni, faculty, and guest performances! 

Virtual Festival Subscription: Fee: $45 before July 15, 2020

Virtual Festival Subscription Fee: $50 after July 15, 2020

open to anyone- no audition 

Festival Schedule will be distributed to subscribers by July 10th.

The subscription all-access fee includes:

  • Concert by the Parker Quartet followed by live Q&A

  • Beethoven Workshop by the Parker Quartet (Live Q&A)

  • Score Study and Rehearsal Techniques Workshop by the Parker Quartet (Live Q&A

  • Jazz Improvisation with violinist, Adam Galblum

  • Workshop with Jason Seber , Associate Conductor of the K.C. Symphony, followed by lunch for Q&A

  • Observation to the Master Class Series: Master classes with Parker Quartet & Frank Huang, NY Philharmonic Concertmaster

  • Juggling with Larry Figg

  • Virtual Faculty and Alumni Performance Series

  • Movie night with friends (virtually)

Master Class Series available EXCLUSIVELY to Virtual Festival Subscribers by audition

Parker Quartet: Participant Fee: $150  

(once accepted- due by July 10, 2020)  

12 selected participants (6 violin, 3 viola, and 3 cello students) will perform in a master class, receive feedback on their playing, and have 1 private 30-minute lesson with a member of the Quartet. 

Masterclasses with the Parker Quartet will be pre-recorded and may take place between July 10th and July 25th.  Once accepted, students will schedule their lessons and the recording of the masterclasses with the quartet members.  

Frank Huang, New York Philharmonic Concertmaster: Participant Fee: $85  

(once accepted- due by July 10, 2020) 

3 selected violin student participants will perform in a master class, receive feedback on their playing.  

Mr. Frank Huang's virtual masterclass is scheduled at 9:00 am central time on July 31, 2020.
