HCM FESTIVAL SCHOLARS: July 28 - August 5

Festival Scholars Applications Due April 16th

Daily Schedule: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, and evening concerts

Location: Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS
Tuition: Free

 

Audition/Application Due: April 16, 2023 by 11:59 p.m.

Individual Application Fee: $50

Pre-formed quartet Application Fee: $50 per individual

 

Audition/Application Requirements:

  1. Complete the online application.

  2. Submit a letter of recommendation (PDF or Word document accepted). Send Letters to office@heartlandchambermusic.org

  3. Submit recordings with TWO contrasting selections, for a total length of 15-20 minutes, to best showcase the range of your abilities and musicianship (Youtube, Vimeo, Dropbox, or Google Drive links only)

  4. Recording web links can be submitted in your online application or e-mailed to office@heartlandchambermusic.org.

Festival Scholars is a full scholarship opportunity for 8 highly-gifted musicians to receive intense chamber music coaching with the festival artistic director, Jackie Lee, and Miami String Quartet members; Benny Kim, Scott Lee, and Keith Robinson as well as the Grammy Award-Winning Parker Quartet.

 

Scholars also perform live on Kansas Public Radio and are featured in their own performance on August 4th in Yardley Hall.

Heartland Chamber Music Festival is a partnership with Midwest Trust Center at JCCC.
